Styrenated phenol both distyrenated and tristyrenated phenol are available in the WESTCO™ product line.
WESTCO™ SP-120 has FDA approval for use in rubber articles intended for repeated or continuous food contacts. The SP-120 styrenated phenol is a pale yellow to amber liquid-antioxidant for use in most elastomers, particularly SBR. It is recommended for a variety of applications in plastics, elastomers, thermoplastic elastomers and urethane foams. 1-3 PHR is recommended. View technical data for SP-120.
WESTCO™ SP-120 DLD is also FDA approved and is a 70% active mixture of non-staining antioxidants/antiozinants on an inert carrier. In addition, it provides good thermal stability in synthetic and natural rubbers, like NR, SBR, NBR, and CR. View technical data for SP-120 DLD.
STORAGE: SP-120 is stable over a long period of time when stored in unopened containers and protected from extreme temperature and humidity. Suggested shelf life is 2 years.

COMPOSITION:
Styrenated phenol is made up of three main components –
mono-, di- and tristyrenated phenol. Western Reserve Chemical offers
both di- and tri- styrenated phenols. The relative amounts of
each component differ depending on the use of the substance.
