CHARACTERISTICS:
Westco™ AO-3114 is a high
purity, high molecular weight, hindered phenolic
antioxidant. It is non-discoloring and non-staining.
It has low volatility and is essentially
non-extractable in polyolefin processing and end
use. Westco™ AO-3114 has good color retention, good
UV stability and no odor.
Westco™ AO-3114 provides
superior protection against oxidative degradation
caused by heat, light or processing conditions in a
variety of polymers including polyolefin’s and in
adhesive formulations. It is highly recommended in
polypropylene film, fiber and mineral filled
compounds. It may also be used in polyester, nylon,
synthetic rubber and tackifying resins. In
polyolefin’s, Westco™ 3114 is typically used at 0.05%
to 0.3% depending on stability requirements.
